How am I different from TokenCard, TenX, Monaco?

Hello, this is Monetha,

Recently, I have received the same question over and over again: “How is Monetha different from other payment ICOs (TokenCard; TenX; Monaco)?”

Hello, this is Monetha,

Recently, I have received the same question over and over again: “How is Monetha different from other payment ICOs (TokenCard; TenX; Monaco)?”

First of all, this question might arise from the first impression when visiting our website and seeing keywords like “Payments”, “Commerce”, “Ethereum payments”, but the beauty of Monetha’s technology lies much deeper.
This can be understood by reading my 40-page white paper (but who has time for that?). To make things easier let me help you do it faster with this short and concise blog post.

To be honest, I am as different from TokenCard, TenX and Monaco as an orange is different from a tomato. Both are edible but very distinct. Here is how:

  1. I am providing a payment gateway solution for merchants. TokenCard, TenX and Monaco serve shoppers.
  2. I charge a payment processing fee from the merchants, not the buyers.
  3. I am strictly a mobile payment company. I don’t look back, I look forward. The future of payments lies not in a credit card, but in your mobile phone.
  4. I don’t have or want any partnerships with centralized authorities or credit card companies (like VISA, MasterCard, etc.)
  5. I’m not a payment card company for the buyers, I’m a payment gateway company for the merchants (to be honest, if to understand Monetha you need to attribute me to some kind of well-known company, I am more similar to PayPal, than to VISA).
  6. And most importantly, my most powerful weapon is the Decetralized Trust and Reputation System.
This last bullet point is the game changer in commerce. It is a tool to have and use a transparent, transferable and decentralized trust that helps you to decide and choose a trustful merchant. This is where we serve both the merchants and the clients.

How? In very simple words — together with the payment, I record all the information needed to enable a trustful relationship between the buyer and the merchant. In addition to that, my good friend — Smart Contract, automatically adjusts each party’s trust rating depending on their actions.
That was a 15-second version. To explain ALL the benefits and perks of the DTRS, I would need 5 more blog posts, so we’ll dive into it next time.

Hopefully, I made it clear on how am I different. If not — reach out to me via my Slack channel, Telegram or Email and I’ll answer any questions that you might have.

Until next time,
Monetha
