Tell us a bit more about your professional background? How did you get into
Ever since I was a kid, I loved hearing good stories. The better was the teller and the
story, the longer I remembered it. I think this love for stories pushed me into advertising.
This early admiration of advertising and thinking that it’s one of the cornerstones of any business led me to start and finish both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing.
After my studies, I was really glad to join one of the fastest growing startups in EMEA
region. Digital marketing played essential role in company’s growth, thus working as a digital marketing manager challenged me and helped me to grow as a professional.
What do you love about your profession?
Digital marketing is constantly changing. Digital technology has changed over the
years so much and it continues to move forward in a really fast pace. In order to be on top you have to push yourself to be innovative, creative and always willing to incorporate new things.
In digital marketing, you have to take what’s normal today, stretch its boundaries and
create what will be normal tomorrow. Being innovative is organic to our occupation.
What is your philosophy behind digital marketing?
There’s always the right message for the audience. You just have to know your data
and listen. You have to disregard your personal opinion as numbers are everything. So
you have to test, test, and then test some more.
What brought you to Monetha? What do you like about the product?
Last year, I started reading about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. It was
rather hard not to find information about Monetha, which launched one of the most
successful ICO projects and continued to build a strong team and innovative product.
From the beginning, I liked the idea behind Monetha. Fraud in e-commerce is a big
issue today that needs to be solved. I believe, that online reputation is the key element that could help diminish this problem. For some time, various platforms tried to incorporate users’ reputation in a form of ratings, comments, etc., however, these centralized solutions still didn’t solve the issue universally.
I believe that, decentralized, blockchain based reputation for e-commerce, which is linked to the payment process and belong to the user and not the platform, could finally help create universal user reputation passport and solve the fraud issue.
Thus, when I received the offer from Monetha, I knew it is the place for me to be, as there was a perfect match between my interests in startups, ICO, blockchain technology and my professional skills.
Any funny/interesting stories that you can share from your time in Monetha?
I’m a morning lark. I like to start my day early as I’m the most productive in the morning.
On my first day at Monetha, I came to work really early, but the office was still closed and I didn’t have the key to come inside.
While I was sitting on the stairs and waiting, I had quite some time to process that
people are different.
If I do something, it doesn’t mean that everyone else is doing the same.
