Interview with Monetha’s Business Developer | Jonas
Tell us a bit more about your professional background? How did you get into business development?
Ever since I was a little kid, I was lucky enough to surround myself with people that are enthusiastic, determined and high-achieving. Being in such competitive environment, it allowed me to aim high and dream big. I was lucky enough to become either a CEO or co-founder of 4 companies in Lithuania and UK since 2015 and now working in one of the biggest crypto start-up in the Baltic States.
I am reading Accounting & Finance at world-renowned Warwick Business School. Joined Monetha, just less than 2 months ago as part of a course (Placement in Industry).
As far as I can remember (had to give my mom a call to double-check), have always been a very challenging kid – never satisfied with the current situation and intrinsically curious about the sectors that interest me the most – which are business and tech.
Thus I am extremely looking forward to what the future holds for us.
What do you love about your profession?
Probably the most attractive part of it is the working hours and the people I am working with – the business is running 24/7 thus at any point of the day (or night) you can reach certain people and tick off some of the things of your to-do list. Not to mention the learning curve which is exponential, as one of my main values is to be open-minded and try to get as much as possible from the people that are around me, especially of such high-caliber as Monetha’s team.
What is your philosophy behind business development?
Get things done. Period.
What brought you to Monetha? What do you like about the product?
Monetha is one of the few blockchain based projects that do really have a powerful use-case – bringing the trust back to the ecommerce and the DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) is needed to make it work.
Since I have joined Monetha (1.5 months ago), our product had 10+ updates already, in a span of approximately 45 days. I love the current approach to the market that we have and believe that it’s a matter of time when our solution will become mainstream.
Any funny/interesting stories that you can share from your time in Monetha?
Few days ago, I have been working till quite late and ended up being the last one in the office. At some point, I have decided to leave, thus closed-down the office and went for a late dinner. The moment I sat down, I received a bunch of messages on our company’s chat, which was flooded with our Office Manager’s Aiste’s messages – apparently, I have locked out the cleaning lady and if I could come back to let her out. ?
